Character Name: Rung
Canon: Transformers: More than Meets the Eye
Game Transplant: Realignment
Original App: Can be found here.
Game Summary:
Realignment is a game that takes place on the Cybertronian home world of Cybertron, in a restarted state. The Firstforged, basically the original transformers, restarted the world and new arrivals help build it from the ground up. It's no easy task, as beings from The Badlands are constantly making life difficult, people are disappearing, and the world itself keeps messing with the residents minds but for many, it's home. A community has already been long established and the residents are trying to make the best of life in this odd place...though with a few murderers running around, it's not easy.
How long was your character in Game: Almost a year.
History of Character in their Game:
It wasn't long after Rung's arrival in R/A that he was established as the resident psychiatrist. With the help of a bot named Blurr, he set up an office near that lake in Alpha Trion's quadrant and began to see patients there, doing his best to help individuals of all types. He was doctor to many of the residents, including Ven, Kagerou, Dead End for a time, Perceptor, Wing, Drift, Blurr, Starscream, Fort Max, Whirl, Karrie Norton, and Barricade, though many others sought him out for advice from time to time. He found himself with quite a few friends, something he wasn't use to since more beings hardly remembered him, and he even ended up with a partner--a former patient who he decided to stop seeing in favor of establishing a relationship. Rung also had a pretty good standing with his FirstForged, Prima, as he was granted two abilities from said cybertronian during the course of his stay in Haven.
Unfortunately, not all relationships were meant to last and one individual from his home world, Whirl, ended up telling Rung to leave him alone because of...well, Rung didn't handle something as tactfully as he should have and Whirl took it badly. It was an incident that the therapist went on to regret for some time considering Whirl was one of his patients from back home and he really worried about the other on a regularly basis. (And then Whirl disappeared into he Badlands which made Rung's guilt even worse.)
He was eventually established as the go-to for all new recruits of the Police Force as well, handling their psych-evaluations before they were allowed to officially become a member of the force. It was during one such evaluation that Rung had to deal with another individual from home who..well, Prowl is honestly the one individual that Rung probably actually hates. They did nothing but passive-aggressively sass one another and then parted ways, though later on in his stay Rung did have a bit of a break through with Prowl in terms of the other actually talking about his past. But Prowl is still an asshole.
He had his fair share of hardships though, getting off on the wrong foot with the being known as Tarn which ended up in Rung's eventual death at the hands of Quickstrike on Tarn's orders and then torture after his return, at the hands of Frenzy who was doing it in honor of Tarn. Or something.Frenzy is an interesting little bot. (It was during this situation that Rung lost his t-cog and, at the time of his death, Rung was canon updated to issue #15 of the MTMTE comics.)
Not about to let this all get him down, Rung reported the incident and continued to work with his patients, aiming to provide all the help he could.
How did they change from their canon personality wise (Please explain what caused it to happen?:
The biggest change from his canon personality would have to be that, towards the end of his stay in Haven, he got a much harder edge to him in that he wasn't afraid of what others might do to him anymore. (Dying once and then being brutally tortured kind of toughens you up at bit.) He was much less willing to take threats from anyone and didn't hesitate to report his attackers to the resident police force, also calling out one of them publicly on the network--in which he did attempt to manipulate the other into admitting their guilt a bit, using his skills as a therapist to his advantage. There's definitely a bit of a darker edge to Rung now and, living as long as he has and going through everything he has?
It's not surprising.
Otherwise, he really is pretty much the same Rung. He's an old being so his personality is pretty well established after all these years. He was, slowly but surely, learning to allow himself to open up to others about his own problems but he still has this desire to not bother others with such 'trivial' things so..that's a work in progress. In general he's just a very private sort of individual.
How did they change from their canon physically (Please explain what caused it to happen?):
Rung no longer has the ability to transform, as his tranformation cog--or T-Cog--was stolen when he was tortured at the hands of Frenzy. His frame itself is also littered with scratches and a few dents here and there but most of it has been buffed and worked out.
Powers:
In R/A, Rung had been granted several abilities by his FirstForged.
First, he was able to create small light orbs that, while not able to cause harm to others, could create a brilliant, blinding light if need be. He was able to create three of them at max, at his current skill level, and could keep them glowing for about an hour unless he really taxed himself by using the brighter glows, etc.
Second, he was granted the ability to understand any language no matter what their origin. If the communicators on Haven ever failed, Rung would still be able to understand what others were saying and respond to them in their native language. He was also able to read/write any language as well, though he hasn't fully discovered the extent of this ability yet.
Possessions:
+A model ship that was made for him by a patient/friend named Kagerou.
+A model of the ARK that he made himself and brought with him to R/A.
+All of his patient files from Haven.
Please provide three samples from your previous game, at least one will have to be third person with context:
Sample One: Getting beat
Sample Two: Discovering his light orbs
Sample Three: Working with Mirage
Notes: Given that Rung is a smaller Cybetronian in game, I'm going to scale him down to about as tall as a truck cab, if that's alright with you guys. C:
